San Francisco Bay Ferry Holiday Schedule

Labor Day 2024 | Weekend Schedules

On Monday, September 2, 2024 ferries will be operating on weekend schedules on the Vallejo, Richmond and Oakland & Alameda routes. The Pier 41 Short Hop will operate a reduced weekend schedule between the Downtown S.F. Terminal and Pier 41. 

Please note that there will be no ferry service on the South San Francisco, Alameda Seaplane and Harbor Bay routes. Additionally, the Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle will not operate on this day. 

San Francisco Bay Ferry offers special schedules on several holidays to better meet the needs of riders.

There is no ferry service on the following dates so that our captains, crew members, engineers and operations staff can enjoy holidays with their families and friends:

  • New Year's Day (January 1)
  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday of November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25)

The holidays in which special schedules may be in effect include:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
  • Presidents' Day (third Monday in February)
  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  • Veterans' Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Weekend (the three days after Thanksgiving)

We typically also offer special schedules on the Saturday and Sunday of San Francisco Fleet Week in the first week of October.
