San Francisco Bay Ferry Holiday Schedule
Weekend Schedule in Effect on Memorial Day
San Francisco Bay Ferry will operate on weekend schedules for Memorial Day on Monday, May 29, 2023. Weekend schedules will be in effect on the Oakland & Alameda, Richmond, Pier 41 Short Hop and Vallejo routes. There will be no service on the Alameda Seaplane, Harbor Bay and South San Francisco routes.
NOTE: Special Ballpark Short Hop Schedule on Memorial Day
First pitch for the Giants' game on Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, is 2:05 PM. As such the pre-game departures on the Ballpark Short Hop will be set for 12:50 PM and 1:40 PM.
San Francisco Bay Ferry offers special schedules on several holidays to better meet the needs of riders.
There is no ferry service on the following dates so that our captains, crew members, engineers and operations staff can enjoy holidays with their families and friends:
- New Year's Day (January 1)
- Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday of November)
- Christmas Day (December 25)
The holidays in which special schedules may be in effect include:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
- Presidents' Day (third Monday in February)
- Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
- Independence Day (July 4)
- Labor Day (first Monday in September)
- Veterans' Day (November 11)
- Thanksgiving Weekend (the three days after Thanksgiving)
We typically also offer special schedules on the Saturday and Sunday of San Francisco Fleet Week in the first week of October.
