San Francisco Bay Ferry Holiday Schedule


No Regular Service on Christmas Day

San Francisco Bay Ferry will not operate on Christmas Day on Sunday, December 25, with the exception of the Chase Center special event service for the Golden State Warriors game. Normal schedules will be in effect on Saturday, December 24 and Monday, December 26.


No Service on New Year's Day

San Francisco Bay Ferry will not operate on New Year's Day on Sunday, January 1. Normal schedules will be in effect on Saturday, December 31 and Monday, January 2.


San Francisco Bay Ferry offers special schedules on several holidays to better meet the needs of riders.

There is no ferry service on the following dates so that our captains, crew members, engineers and operations staff can enjoy holidays with their families and friends:

  • New Year's Day (January 1)
  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday of November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25)

The holidays in which special schedules may be in effect include:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
  • Presidents' Day (third Monday in February)
  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  • Veterans' Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Weekend (the three days after Thanksgiving)

We typically also offer special schedules on the Saturday and Sunday of San Francisco Fleet Week in the first week of October.
