San Francisco Bay Ferry Holiday Schedule

June 30th SF Pride Weekend | Weekend Schedules + Extra Trips

San Francisco Bay Ferry will operate extra trips on Sunday, June 30, due to higher expected ridership for the San Francisco Pride Parade. Details on our extra trips and weekend schedule can be found here. 

July 4th Holiday Weekend | Weekend Schedules 

San Francisco Bay Ferry will operate on weekend schedules from Thursday, July 4, through Sunday, July 7, 2024. Service will only be provided on the following four routes:

  • Oakland & Alameda
  • Richmond
  • Vallejo
  • Pier 41 Short Hop

There will be a special post-fireworks trip for Oakland & Alameda passengers on July 4. The ferry will depart Pier 41 at 10:45 PM and Downtown San Francisco (Gate G) at 11:00 PM, bound for Main Street Alameda and Oakland. This trip will operate first come, first served. No reservations are available.

San Francisco Bay Ferry offers special schedules on several holidays to better meet the needs of riders.

There is no ferry service on the following dates so that our captains, crew members, engineers and operations staff can enjoy holidays with their families and friends:

  • New Year's Day (January 1)
  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday of November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25)

The holidays in which special schedules may be in effect include:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
  • Presidents' Day (third Monday in February)
  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  • Veterans' Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Weekend (the three days after Thanksgiving)

We typically also offer special schedules on the Saturday and Sunday of San Francisco Fleet Week in the first week of October.
