San Francisco Bay Ferry Offers Direct Service for All Warriors Home Games in 2022-23

SAN FRANCISCO | October 12, 2022 – The San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) today announced that San Francisco Bay Ferry service will be available for all Golden State Warriors home games at Chase Center during the 2022-23 season.

On game nights, San Francisco Bay Ferry offers direct service between Oakland, Alameda and Pier 48.5 in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, just a short walk from Chase Center.

“There’s no way better way for East Bay fans to get to the arena to see the NBA champion Warriors than by taking the ferry,” said WETA Executive Director Seamus Murphy. “We all know Klay Thompson gets to games via boat. You should, too!”

This is the third season for which San Francisco Bay Ferry will offer service to Warriors home games at Chase Center. WETA and its partners installed a temporary ferry terminal at Pier 48.5 in 2019 while planning for a permanent Mission Bay Ferry Terminal at 16th Street.

The Pier 48.5 Ferry Terminal is a 12-minute walk from Chase Center. Passengers can also bring their bicycles aboard the ferry and use the bike valet at the arena. Ferry tickets are $9.60 each way for adults with discounts available to youth, senior and disabled passengers.

Reservations are strongly encouraged for Warriors ferry service due to high ridership. Fans can buy ferry tickets on the San Francisco Bay Ferry app or at sanfranciscobayferry.com.
