Berkeley Ferry Project

Berkeley Ferry Project

The City of Berkeley and San Francisco Bay Ferry are partnering to reconstruct the Berkeley Municipal Pier and establish an integrated, dual-purpose ferry terminal at the Berkeley Marina, now in the design and environmental review stage. The project will build a 1,080-foot pier, a 400-foot breakwater, ADA-compliant gangways, and zero-emission vessel charging infrastructure, while preserving full public access for fishing and waterfront recreation. The new Berkeley–San Francisco route is projected to serve over 1,000 average weekday passengers.
