San Francisco Bay Ferry hosts local Bay Area musicians for special performances during commute ferry trips.
The summer 2026 Tides and Tunes season will run May through October and feature performers on our Richmond route on the final Friday of each month.
If you are interested in performing, please submit the interest form below and review the sample terms and conditions. A full agreement will be executed upon selection and scheduling. Please note that form submission does not guarantee a performance date.
During May through October 2026, performances will occur on the final Friday of each month from 3:30PM-7:30PM (not including equipment set up and breakdown time).
All live performances will take place indoors toward the front of the boat on the first floor of the vessel. There is no elevated platform or stage. There are electrical outlets onboard the ferry for your use. Please note that the boats will be in movement throughout the duration of the event. Performers must be comfortable with standing on a moving vessel and/or may remain seated during turbulent water conditions.
Yes, we will consider group acts with up to 4 people. Please consider that physical space is limited onboard the ferry.
All performers will be compensated at a total rate of $500.
San Francisco Bay Ferry will reach out to selected performers in late April and early May.
