The WETA’s Board is comprised of five members serving six year terms. The Board is responsible for setting policies to enhance, expand, and operate ferry services.
These dates for meetings scheduled in 2024 are subject to change at the direction of the Board Chair.

Over the past decade, ferries have become an essential component of the Bay Area’s increasingly congested transportation network. In response to growing demand, WETA has secured funding and environmental approvals for an ambitious expansion plan. This includes new terminals at strategic locations like Treasure Island, Mission Bay, Berkeley, Redwood City, the South Bay, and the Carquinez Strait.
