Notice: Proposed Fare Structure for the Richmond Ferry Service
Notice is hereby given that the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) Board of Directors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Pier 1, in the Bayside Conference Room at the Port of San Francisco, San Francisco, California to receive public comment on a proposed fare structure for the new Richmond to San Francisco ferry service, which is expected to begin operation in January 2019.
Based upon review and discussion with the West Contra Costa Transportation Advisory Committee and Contra Costa Transportation Authority, WETA’s funding partners for the service operation, WETA recommends setting the initial Richmond Ferry service fares structure for Fiscal Year 2018/19, through June 30, 2019, as follows:
One-way | |
---|---|
Adult (cash fare) | $9.00 |
Adult Clipper Card | $6.75 |
Youth (5-18 years), Seniors (65+ yrs), Disabled | $4.50 |
Children under 5 | FREE |
School Groups | $2.90 |
The proposed fares would be subject to a 3% increase on July 1, 2019, consistent with all other regularly-scheduled WETA services and WETA’s Fiscal Year 2015-2020 Fare Program adopted by the WETA Board in 2015.
If you are unable to attend the Public Hearing or would prefer to submit your comments in writing, please send your input by email using the form below, by writing to richmondferry@watertransit.org, or by letter to San Francisco Bay Ferry, Pier 9, Suite #111, The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94111. All comments should be submitted to San Francisco Bay Ferry by September 6, 2018 to ensure that your input is considered by the WETA Board of Directors. The WETA Board of Directors will consider approval of the proposed fare structure for the new Richmond ferry service at its regularly scheduled meeting on September 6, 2018.
