San Francisco Bay Ferry is now offering a pilot service connecting South San Francisco to Harbor Bay.
This service offers one departure from South San Francisco at 8:30 a.m. on weekdays (arriving in Harbor Bay by 9 a.m.) with an evening return trip from Harbor Bay to South San Francisco departing at 6:30 p.m. (arriving in South S.F. by 7 p.m.). It's a perfect, traffic-free option for commuters who work in Harbor Bay and live in South S.F. or elsewhere on the Peninsula.

We are giving away a limited number of free round trips on this ferry service -- just email your name, home address (so we can send you tickets) and the name of your employer to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The one-way fare is $7.90 with a Clipper card, with discounted fares for seniors, youth and the disabled ($4.40). The adult cash fare is $8.80. (Avoiding traffic, bridges and the gas pump is priceless.)
There is free parking at the South S.F. Ferry Terminal at 911 Marina Boulevard. (Click for a map.) There are secure BikeLink lockers at both ferry terminals and bicycles are allowed on all ferries. The Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal is located at 215 Adelphian Way (click for a map), very close to local employers.
Concerned about getting home early if you experience a workday illness, family crisis or other unscheduled emergency? Ferry passengers who work in Alameda County may be eligible for a free ride home from work via taxi, rental car or other transit options provided by the County's Guaranteed Ride Home program.
