Fare policy changes effective January 1, 2015:

  • Group Day Passes, Day Passes, and 10-Ticket Ride Cards will no longer be sold. Passes and cards in circulation on January 1, 2015 will continue to be honored. The Vallejo Monthly Pass will continue to be offered.

  • The SF MUNI transfer sticker will be discontinued. Transfer discounts for MUNI will be available for Adult customers using Clipper ($0.50 discount on MUNI when transferring from ferry; $0.50 discount on ferry when transferring from MUNI).

*Seniors, persons with disabilities and Medicare cardholders may ride at a discount if they hold a Regional Transit Connection Discount Card, Medicare card, Department of Motor Vehicles Disabled Placard Identification Card or proof of age 65 or older. **Up to 2 children under 6 years of age may ride FREE with each fare paying adult.

Purchasing Tickets

  • School groups please use our School Group Request Form. Please note that school group requests must be processed, approved, and paid-in-full at least 72 hours prior to your sailing date to receive a group rate discount.
  • Tickets (not including group fares) may be used for either the ferries or Route 200 buses.
  • Tickets are sold at the Vallejo Ferry Terminal ticket office at 289 Mare Island Way, Vallejo; local Safeway stores; Bay Crossings in the SF Ferry Building; Vallejo Transit,1850 Broadway; and, Blue & Gold Fleet at SF Pier 41 terminal.
  • If ferry ticket offices are closed, full-fare, one-way tickets may be purchased onboard – cash only.
  • We accept cash, VISA and MasterCard at the ferry ticket office; credit cards are not accepted on the boats. Commuter checks can be used for the purchase of passes at participating ticket outlets.
  • Tickets may only be used on the ferry route for which they were originally purchased.
  • All tickets are nonrefundable.
  • Fares subject to change.

San Francisco Ferry Building Terminal Address: 1 Ferry Bldg San Francisco, CA 94105. The Vallejo Route ferry arrives and departs from Gate B located at the north end of the Ferry Building. The Alameda/Oakland and Harbor Bay Route ferries arrive and depart from the South Terminal (Gate E), located approximately one block from Pier ½ on the south end of the Ferry Building.

Vallejo Route 200 Bus: The Route 200 Bus picks up on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. There is a Route 200 bus stop sign located between the San Francisco Ferry Building and the Starbucks located at Pier 1 just north of the Ferry Building (along the curb near the pay parking lot entrance).

Parking in San Francisco: Parking is limited around the ferry terminal. Riders are encouraged to use public transportation when boarding the ferry at the SF Ferry Building.

Public Transit Options: Transit options near the San Francisco Ferry Building include BART and MUNI buses, trolleys and light rail. In addition, connecting Golden Gate Transit ferries to Marin County (Tiburon, Sausalito, Larkspur), and San Francisco Bay Ferries to Oakland, Alameda Main St and Harbor Bay arrive and depart from the Ferry Building.

Pier 41 Terminal Address: Pier 41, San Francisco, CA 94133. Pier 41 is located immediately adjacent to the Pier 39 entertainment complex.

Parking at Pier 41: Parking is available at an hourly fee in the Pier 39 parking garage, located across the Embarcadero from Pier 41 and Pier 39.

Public Transit Options: Transit options near Pier 41 include MUNI buses, trolleys, light rail and cable car. In addition, connecting ferries to Tiburon & Sausalito, and San Francisco Bay Ferries to Vallejo, Oakland and Alameda Main St arrive and depart from the Pier 41 area.

Parking in Vallejo: Daily and monthly paid parking is available directly across from the terminal and in the garage at 415 Santa Clara. Daily parking is $5.00 while monthly parking is $20.00.
