Meet Our Fleet

San Francisco Bay Ferry uses a fleet of 16 high-speed passenger ferries carrying between 225 and 445 passengers each. These vessels boast numerous amenities including bathrooms and passenger cabins that are all wheelchair accessible. With all vessels in the fleet utilizing propeller and water jet propulsion, our boats continue to meet rigorous emissions standards, set forth by the California Air Resources Board. The Water Emergency Transportation Agency (WETA), the agency that runs San Francisco Bay Ferry service, has invested heavily in new ferries to best serve the needs of the Bay Area. Seven new ferries have been added to the fleet since 2017 and two new ferries are set to join the fleet in the next year.
